Saris, manufacturer of world-class bike racks, trainers, storage and bicycle parking products, has officially announced the launch of its newest premium bike rack called the Edge.
According to certain reports, the Edge, which is available at an MSRP of $999.99, brings forth the ultimate safety and ease of use, and it does that regardless of whether you want to transport e-bikes or acoustic bikes. More on the same would reveal how this bike rack comes bearing tool-free installation and a sleek, modern finish, making every adventure seamless from home to trail.
Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, we begin from its promise to provide e-bike support. You see, the stated rack features best-in-class design with the ability to carry two bikes up to 80 lbs each. This treads up a long distance to help your travel become easy and safe, even with an e-bike.
Next up, there is a facility related to zero frame contact. Here, you can come expecting a fixed-position, spring-loaded arm to secure bikes without touching the frame or fork, ensuring ultimate protection for all bike types.
Another detail worth a mention here is rooted in the solution’s fender compatibility, as it is markedly designed to accommodate bikes with fenders, and therefore, boast optimal versatility for commuters, touring cyclists, and more.
Complementing that would be Saris’ focus on providing enhanced security. This translates to how the rack features added grip and stability through a spring-loaded arm, even in the event of a flat tire, so to keep bikes firmly in place during transit.
Turning our attention towards wheelbase & tirefit, Saris’ latest brainchild is understood to be compatible with bikes featuring wheelbases up to 53″ and wheel sizes ranging from 24″ to 29″ x 3″ or 27.5″ x 5″.
Apart from that, it also puts on the offer an integrated locking system, a system where locking cables secure bikes to the rack, and an included locking hitch pin locks the rack to the vehicle.
Hold on, we still have a few bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t touched upon the availability of a riser block, which effectively elevates the rear wheel by 2.5″ to prevent seat and handlebar interference.
We also haven’t touched upon the solution’s tilting functionality. As a result, the all-new bike rack can easily tilt away from the vehicle with bikes loaded and allow access of the hatch, tailgate, or trunk.
Rounding up highlights would be a fact that the technology in question is also RV approved, meaning it is safe for use on Class A, B, and C motorhomes.
“At Saris, our goal is always to make transporting bikes easier, safer, and more intuitive,” said Kellen Pagel, Saris Product Manager at Saris. “The Edge delivers on that promise with a design that prioritizes both function and style, allowing cyclists to travel confidently while their bikes remain securely in place.”
