Enabling Managers with Smarter Mechanisms to Oversee Their Fleet Operations

Fleetworthy has officially announced the launch of two significant advancements within Drivewyze by Fleetworthy.

According to certain reports, the company is bringing, for its Drivewyze’s Safety+ product, a new Site Visits Map View purpose-built to offer valuable map visualization across various safety fronts. On the other hand, for its weigh station bypass service, Fleetworthy will introduce a new PreClear Savings Overview Report, capable of providing insights into real ROI savings and opportunities for further savings.

“Both enhancements support the mission of providing customers with actionable insights to make better decisions,” said Martin Murtland, VP of Product at Fleetworthy. “Our new Map View for Safety+ gives an instant snapshot as to what’s happening in a variety of risk areas, so decisions and risk-management coaching can take place immediately. For our weigh station bypass customers, our new reporting tool gives clear data on the ROI of the service. “Fleets can filter safety events by type, severity, date range, and more to focus on specific concerns,”

Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper level, we begin from the new Site Visits Map View, which will provide drivers with proactive location-based in-cab safety alerts about potential safety risks ahead. These alerts, on their part, are likely to be concerned with severe weather, high-citation speeding zones, cargo theft hotspots, high-rollover areas, low bridges, state-sponsored sudden slowdowns, and more.

Safety+ further makes it possible for fleets to create their own geo-fenced custom zones. This it does to highlight safety hotspots, reinforce policies like terminal reminders, and warn about predatory parking locations, thus reducing costs and improving driver awareness. The solution in question also arrives on the scene bearing an ability to plot safety events on an interactive map in the Drivewyze Hub portal.

All in all, the solution will empower safety managers to quickly identify which drivers require more coaching and in what areas they need the same.

Users can come expecting to access, from a specific standpoint, geographical insights at a glance to quickly identify which trucks and drivers are most at risk when driving in proximity to severe weather.

Next up, they can seamlessly personalize what risks to focus on, severity, risk event type, or date range. Complementing that would be a facility to pinpoint critical coachable moments for higher risk drivers, something done on the back of configurable speed thresholds to enable data-driven conversations.

“Fleet managers can then visually see which trucks are encountering or will encounter bad conditions, such as heavy snow, icy conditions, or local flooding, and act on it in a timely fashion,” said Murtland. “Drivers are alerted to these approaching risks to keep them safer. Based on customer feedback, if a driver is then in severe weather and not driving appropriately for those conditions, they are sent a second in-cab alert. It’s like having a safety trainer in the cab, but only when needed.”

Turning our attention towards Drivewyze PreClear Savings Overview Report, it translates to a new interactive dashboard in Drivewyze Hub, geared towards helping customers calculate the real and potential return on investment from bypassing weigh stations.

Already the largest weigh station bypass network, with operations spanning 925 locations. Drivewyze PreClear can now access financial and operational benefits of bypasses by measuring the ROI from savings on time, fuel, and carbon dioxide emissions.

You see, the new interactive map and charts here should tread up a long distance to provide insights into coverage across North America and how the fleet can improve its bypass savings.

Founded in 1983, Fleetworthy’s rise up the ranks stems from providing dedicated solutions compliance, toll management, weigh station bypass, and more. The company’s excellence in what it does can also be understood once you consider it is trusted, at the moment, by more than 75% of the top fleets in North America.

“By making bypass ROI transparent, we’re empowering fleets to optimize operations and savings,” said Murtland. “The Savings Overview Report demonstrates the measurable impact Drivewyze PreClear has on the bottom line, reinforcing the case for broader adoption across fleets of all sizes.”
