ECS Group powers Royal Jordanian’s cargo expansion in North America

Multiyear GSA agreement strengthens air freight connectivity from the U.S. to Amman and key global markets.

Chicago, United States, 10 February 2026  – A new partnership aimed at boosting air cargo connectivity between the United States and the Middle East is taking shape as ECS Group signs a long-term general sales and service agent agreement with Royal Jordanian Airlines.

The agreement, effective January 10, 2026, marks an important step in expanding Royal Jordanian’s commercial cargo presence across North America. Under the deal, ECS Group, through its U.S. subsidiary Globe Air Cargo, will manage cargo sales and services for the airline at Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

This collaboration positions ECS Group as Royal Jordanian’s main commercial cargo partner at two key U.S. gateways, strengthening trade links between American exporters and international markets served through Amman.

Through this mandate, Globe Air Cargo will promote and sell substantial belly-hold cargo capacity available on Royal Jordanian’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flights. U.S. shippers will benefit from faster and more reliable access to Amman, with onward connections across the airline’s widebody and freighter network.

The commercial focus will cover several high-demand destinations, including Tripoli, Damascus, Jeddah, Beirut, Cairo, Istanbul, Dubai, and Bangkok. These markets are expected to see increased cargo movement as ECS Group supports Royal Jordanian’s growth strategy in priority trade lanes.

The agreement also includes full GSA services supported by ECS Group’s digital technology ecosystem. Customers will have access to smooth digital booking, smart pricing tools, and real-time shipment visibility, making the cargo process simpler and more transparent.

Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group, said the partnership highlights the confidence Royal Jordanian has in ECS Group’s ability to drive cargo performance in a highly competitive market. He noted that the combination of Globe Air Cargo’s strong local presence and ECS Group’s digital solutions, including CargoAI, will help deliver faster growth and improved service for U.S. customers.

Khaled Alkhawaldeh, Director Cargo Commercial at Royal Jordanian Airlines, said the collaboration brings strong market knowledge, proven commercial expertise, and advanced digital tools. He added that the partnership will help the airline improve customer reach and make better use of its cargo capacity across major U.S. gateways and beyond.

With solid cargo capacity, a premium global network, and the commercial support of ECS Group, Royal Jordanian Airlines is set to build steady and sustainable cargo growth in the United States.
