Forming a Specialized Consortium to Optimize Fleet Management Proceedings

Motiv Electric Trucks, a leading manufacturer of medium duty electric trucks and buses, has officially announced the launch of Motiv Premier Partner Network (MPPN), which would be a carefully vetted commercial fleet resource comprising of industry-leading solution providers available to support fleets, regardless of where the latter party is in its journey to net-zero emissions.

According to certain reports, the stated Premier Partner lineup will focus on helping fleets minimize charging infrastructure costs, improve operational efficiencies, and take advantage of incentive and financing programs, all of which can reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), while simultaneously accelerating the time to a positive Return on Investment (ROI).

Such a value proposition becomes even more critical for fleets just beginning their electrification journey, as they can access experts help in all facets of planning and execution, thus avoiding common pitfalls.

As for fleets moving from an early pilot phase to full scale, fleet-wide electrification, they can bank upon the given network to optimize operations (i.e. better route/vehicle planning) and charging demand (optimized charging times, levels), access financing, and unlock new sources of income from incentives, credits, and other financial programs.

“Depending on the size of the fleet and the miles travelled, customers can realize a net positive impact of thousands of dollars per year by making smarter decisions on hardware, utilization and finance, dramatically shortening the time to ROI,” said Scott Griffith, CEO of Motiv Electric Trucks. “We’ve done the hard work of finding and vetting the best and smartest leaders in the industry.”

Talk about the players involved in Motiv’s new network, we begin from ABM, who offers comprehensive electrification solutions to guide fleets through every phase of implementation, from initial consultation and design to installation and ongoing maintenance. At present, ABM’s services include site analysis, infrastructure upgrades, and expert installation.

Next up, we have Flipturn, a company that offers you AI-powered EV charging management software designed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of fleet operations. You see, the stated software makes it possible for fleet managers to conceive real-time insight into charger status, vehicle location, and state of charge. It also harnesses the power of built-in power management to intelligently balance loads, prevent demand spikes, and keep operations within utility limits without compromising vehicle readiness.

Another one joining the list would be FractalEV. This particular company is understood to specialize in manufacturing Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers tailored for fleet, multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs), and commercial applications.

Moving on to FuSE, it is an end-to-end software platform geared towards achieving seamless participation in Clean Fuel Standard Programs across California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and Canada.

Beyond that, there would be Geotab, a company best known for boosting operational efficiency, safety, and compliance, as well as giving fleet operators deeper control over electric vehicles. Complementing that would be the availability of EV-specific analytics on battery state-of-charge, range forecasting, and charging behavior.

Hold on, we still have a few left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon InCharge Energy, who offers end-to-end commercial EV charging solutions and InService™ maintenance and repair plans, capable of servicing EV chargers brands available. An example relaying the company’s excellence would be how its plans can remotely repair nearly 75% of all charger issues.

We also haven’t touched upon The Mobility House. The Mobility House has its forte rooted in its interoperable charge management platform, ChargePilot®, which delivers responsive monitoring and control of chargers, via open standard communications, to enable robust automated load management, solar and backup power integration, along with real-time local optimization.

Rounding up highlights would be SitelogIQ, a national energy efficiency and facility improvement solutions provider. Focused on rolling out a centrally managed, nationwide EV infrastructure strategy, the company services the likes of fleet operators, CRE portfolios, auto dealerships, and healthcare systems.

“Now more than ever, smart fleets are looking at the entire ecosystem of electrification to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO),” said Griffith. “At every step in the process of fleet electrification, key decisions can either save or increase costs. Our premier partners are experts in helping fleets avoid costly mistakes in construction, infrastructure development and charging hardware/software selection.
